To offer the most effective protection, the proprietary surfactant blend of Roundup PowerMAX® 3 Herbicide has a higher concentration of glyphosate per gallon as the potassium salt-based formulation (K-salt) contains 4.8 pounds of acid equivalent (AE) or 5.88 pounds of active ingredient (AI) of glyphosate per gallon. This higher concentration of glyphosate, compared to other glyphosate-based herbicides with lower AE per gallon and higher use rates in equivalent package sizes, allows farmers to spray more acres with less product. The formulation also includes Bayer’s proprietary CROPSHIELD® technology, which provides high levels of crop safety on glyphosate-tolerant crops. Following proper tank-mix recommendations is the best way to ensure successful application and performance of the herbicide.
Tank-mixing pesticides can reduce cost and provide flexibility for treatments in a single application. Of course, mixing must be approached carefully to prevent antagonisms that might interfere with efficacy, synergisms that cause crop damage, or chemical reactions that can make tank contents unsprayable. To avoid these and other problems, be sure to always read and follow label recommendations. 1034_S2
