We have learned that you cannot rely upon one chemistry. That is why I put [pre-emergent herbicides] on most of my acres… just to give a more broad spectrum of weed control. That is one thing that I am excited about with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend™ soybeans. It is another tool in the farmer's toolbox.

It gets back to stewardship of your farm. You do not like to see weeds going to seed because that means down the road, you are going to have more of them to try to control.

We're spraying our in-season application of dicamba and Roundup PowerMAX® Herbicide. Conditions are about ideal. The wind speed is approximately seven, eight miles an hour. Conditions quite frankly make this a good day to spray.

It's important to follow application requirements for a number of reasons but the bottom line is if you follow them correctly, it saves you money and the product works. You're trying to be efficient when you're out here killing weeds. You want to do it in a timely manner.
